ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Hotel Chocolat, a British chocolate maker and cacao grower owned by Mars, plans to open a store on King Street beginning in late fall, according to a company announcement.
The Alexandria location is one of three the company named in new U.S. markets, along with Fashion Place in Salt Lake City and 2ND & PCH in Long Beach, California. A spokesperson for the company said Monday that the store is expected to open ahead of the holiday season, with opening dates and hours to be announced in the coming months. The store will be located at 128 King St., the spokesperson told The Alexandria Brief on Wednesday.
The King Street location will be a store only, without a café, the spokesperson said. The company's announcement had said its new stores would include a Velvetiser Café serving hot and cold drinking chocolate.
